To ably take care of her struggling family, she had to find a source of income against all odds. That’s how she came up with the idea of starting a small food selling point in the neighborhood and is still running it thanks to JumpStart Africa’s micro-loan support. However due to COVID effects, her business has been struggling and so her family.
This is the story of many women we have been working with in Kampala slums and quiet a number of them are now struggling to survive or support their families as their businesses have been struggling due to lockdown and low number of customers.
